Humanitarian Medical Aid
We regularly receive medical supplies from our European friends, which we then deliver to medical facilities, paramedics, or stabilization points.
In the past few weeks, we managed to send several packages at once. One of them was for the paramedics from the 95th brigade working in the Lyman area. They got eclectic and mechanical tonometers, elastic bandages, splints, retention tape, COVID tests, aеrosolized painkillers, splints for feet and heels, scissors, and tweezers.
We sent another package to our medics from the Be Like Nina nurse movement. They got electric tonometers, medical tissue, retention tape, catheter sets, bedsore protection dressings, saline, and strong painkillers. We want to support them especially these days, because they’re essentially the only ones who raise the issue of tiny salaries and poor working conditions of medical personnel.
We delivered some more supplies to two hospitals in Kryvyi Rih: the Railway Depot Hospital and the 8th Hospital, which we’ve been friends with for a long time. There we sent some tonometers, boxes of plasters and bandages, 4 phonendoscopes, needles and syringes of various diameters, antiseptics, COVID-19 tests, medical gloves in various sizes, neck braces, antibiotics, saline, and painkillers.
And finally, some of the medical supplies will be very useful at the animal shelter Special Tails House, located in Irpin near Kyiv. The shelter helps animals with special physical and mental characteristics, many of whom have suffered at the hands of humans. Right now it is treating almost a hundred patients. The House also received plasters, syringes, needles, IV bags, medical solutions, urine receptacles, and other items that will help treat sick animals.
